Student

Student is a systems building concept developed for places with a high demand for dwellings for young people and students. The concept is based on standard construction methods, with a core in prefab concrete and infill walls, to enable a wide range of builders in small Swedish towns and villages to build the dwellings at a reasonable cost.

The versatile structures can be adapted to match the specific demands of the individual sites and locations. They can be varied in height and either clustered to form residential blocks or constructed as individual tower blocks. Construction and technical systems make it possible to vary the layout of the individual floors of the building. This allows for considerable variation in the number and distribution of one-room, two-room and three-room flats. Similarly, the ground floor can be designed with a bigger or smaller share of common spaces. There is also a high degree of flexibility with regard to the building’s colour scheme.
