Inhale is part of a series of sculptures created for the New Karolinska Solna University Hospital on the common theme of breathing. Outside the maternity ward is a green meadow. Inhale consists of a site-specific growing lamp programmed to provide optimal lighting for the vegetation on the hill. When there is no light, or when a certain type of light is lacking, the sculpture provides it. 

This high-tech solution helps to tend and nurture the greenery on the hillside. Despite being shaded by the hospital building, the plants can thus contribute to photosynthesis, our source of vital oxygen.
