Echo

The Echo sculpture is placed in a garden, Rosendals Trädgård, and consists of a clock that strikes throughout the day. An ordinary clock marks time. Once every hour. This clock chimes to mark the influx of daylight. It absorbs the sunlight, is charged by it and strikes when it has received sufficient light. Thus, it strikes more frequently on bright days and more rarely on dark or overcast days. The mechanism gradually builds up tension until the clock is ready to strike, releasing the tension in a single clear note.
