Add a roof is a construction system for production halls and buildings in forestry and agriculture co-developed with C3C.

C3C is a company specializing in reusable concrete. The company uses residual concrete from construction projects throughout Sweden to produce large concrete building blocks.

The durable blocks, which can be joined together like Lego bricks and are easy to disassemble, can be used to build tall walls, among other purposes.

With the addition of a wide-span roof, the blocks can be used to build a large hall that provides shelter from the elements.

The building’s expression will be defined by the design and materiality of the roof.

The light and delicate expression of the roof construction stands in contrast to the heavy building blocks, the standard version measuring 80 x 80 x 160 centimetres and weighing 2 tons apiece.
